Physical Solutions offers a number of educational workshops directed towards a multitude of Healthcare practitioners as well as the general public.

Coached Classes...

An educational class for everyone!  Coached classes are scheduled for an hr and a half and tailored to increase body awareness allowing for a better understanding of how to bring better function into your daily routine and exercise programs.

 

Most make the assumption that everyone has the same body awareness and produce movement the same. We realize that different physical history’s result in varying biomechanical patterns and self awareness ultimately affecting how your body moves.

Class 1 : Find Your Perfect Posture

Description:  Learn postural education and self-awareness. Your perfect posture is the optimal alignment of your spine where the muscles surrounding are at their most relaxed. Learn how to find it effectively while becoming aware of your own bad habits and or dysfunction.

All movement emanates from your core, providing a stabilizing force that works against the effects of gravity so an upright posture can by maintained to provide a stable base from which all limb movements can be performed.

Class 2 : Stretching and Flexibility

Description:  Get more out of your stretching routine by learning how your body can cheat its way out of a stretch. Trick your body into stretching properly learn common mistakes, and modifications when necessary. Learning ways to manipulate a stretch can help to achieve different results, helping to address muscle imbalance and dysfunction through greater flexibility.

Class 3: Find Your Weakest Link – FMS

Description:  Break movement dysfunction by finding your weakest link. The body moves in patterns in which all muscles work together to accomplish an action. It is important to train muscles in movement patterns not muscle groups. An improper movement or imbalance leads to muscle compensation in other areas of the body. Left uncorrected, these compensations cause poor performance, inconsistency, and eventually chronic pain or injury. Knowledge is power!

Level I: Recognizing Dysfunction in Weight Training

(A course For Personal Trainers and Fitness Instructors, Kinesiologists, Athletic Therapists, Massage Therapists and any other practitioner with an interest in the Musculoskeletal System)

Description: Have you ever wondered why no matter what exercise or piece of equipment you put your client into it ends up hurting their knees, hips, back, neck or shoulders?  Ever felt like you were at a loss as to what to do next with your client’s arthritis or chronic pain.  Not all Clients are created equal!!  This workshop provides an extremely effective approach for recognizing and minimizing the effects of reoccurring dysfunctional movements due to muscle imbalances, loss of stability and/or joint restrictions in the body.  In this workshop you will learn to recognize improper techniques and movement patterns in the most basic of terms.  Helping to bridge the gap between Personal Trainers and the rehabilitation process.  You will come away from this course with great tools for dealing with challenging clients with such problems as; chronic shoulder, knee, hip or low back problems, to name a few.  This workshop will put a new spin on your training techniques and leave your clients asking for more!!  It is focused on keeping Rehabilitation simple, and is a  powerful tool you want to add to your knowledge base!
